Family-centred care that includes the mother’s complete labour team and a
fully-equipped private suite that supports mother and baby from labour to post-partum is now the standard of care in Ontario.  Trillium is raising the bar with the complete revitalization of its birthing areas.  One-stop care areas for expectant mothers with room for family; brightly decorated playrooms and teen lounges; meetings rooms for the multidisciplinary health team; storage space; and integrated communication technologies will reduce response times and create efficiencies.  With funding from the provincial government and community support, Trillium aims to revitalize space and purchase specialized equipment such as incubators, ventilators and fetal monitors.
