Already serving the highest concentration of seniors among all of the 14 Local Health Integration Networks, Trillium is developing as a seniors-friendly organization that is sensitive to the specialized and often complex care needs of its aging population. In key program areas such as Complex Continuing Care Services, new technology, specialized equipment and accessible healing spaces will help to ease the care and comfort of elderly patients with multiple health needs and support Trillium’s highly specialized multidisciplinary teams. This will be one of the first steps in Trillium’s senior strategy to set the stage for the development of a one-of-a-kind senior’s complex featuring a retirement home, supportive housing and senior-focused recreational programming.
